Introduction of Dr. Pattakos (for keynote presentations)
- I’d like to introduce Dr. Alex Pattakos (pronounced "Pa"
"Tacos"), affectionately nicknamed, "Dr. Meaning."
- Dr. Pattakos is the author of the book, Prisoners
of Our Thoughts: Viktor Frankl’s Principles for Discovering Meaning in
Life and Work and founder of the Center for Meaning, based in
Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA. He is a leading authority on
applying the philosophy and therapeutic approach of the
world-renown psychiatrist, Dr. Viktor Frankl (author of
the classic bestseller, Man's Search for Meaning) to contemporary
life and work situations, and has spent many years working in the areas
of mental health, personal development, and leadership advancement.
- Dr. Pattakos understands the challenges facing business
and government workers. He works closely with The Innovation
Group and its global roster of clients, including: ADP,
AstraZeneca, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Cargill, DuPont, Four
Seasons Hotels & Resorts, Hewlett–Packard, Kraft Foods,
Mars, The Mayo Clinic, Singapore Civil Service College,
U.S. Food and Drug Administration, U.S. Forest Service, VHA, and
others.
- Dr. Pattakos has taught in business and public administration
programs at universities in the United States, Canada, and Europe.
- We’ve invited Dr. Pattakos to share his message and approach
on how we can find deeper meaning in what we do, both individually
and as leaders in our organization and, of course, to make
sure that we are not "Prisoners of Our Thoughts!"
- Please welcome Dr. Alex Pattakos.
